Organising the conference: a 10 month process

Only 4 more weeks to go before Madrid! We are all very excited here in Paris.

For us the beginning of the conference really starts in September of the previous year when we start with the new visual identity for the conference . We believe that this is crucial to launch the conference. Then in November we organise the yearly meeting of the organisational committee in Paris to discuss and start work on the theme and the programme. We also visit the new host city to make sure that all facilities will be available for us and that we can source the most original and relevant venues for our future participants. Then from January - it's full speed ahead! We begin with the promotional campaign (having stands at art fairs and trade shows), advertising campaign (with our media partners), phoning campaign (that's right - we get calling!) , and open up the registration on line.

Realising the conference is like building a house: we bring a stone each day, and sometimes more than one. It is a fantastic team exercise. Everybody in Agenda is involved : Rosalind with the promotion and participant liaison , Sara and Philippe with the programme, Janine with the web site, Corinne with the partners and sponsors, Pascale with the logistics and Varda with the local partners in Spain. Every year the challenge is bigger: the participants expect more and the sponsors too. And we love it! We do our best to deliver and people say that we achieve!

We love the European networking

Organising the conference so far in Europe has involved working with the Italians one year, the Dutch the next and this year the Spanish. Welcome to Europe! Welcome to Diversity!
We actively bring Europeans together every year with the conference, and have been doing so since 2000. We also have more and more international professionals coming from the USA, Australia, Canada, and even China this year , because, they want to breathe the European flavour of the conference - what we do, how we do it. Diversity brings added value, helps understanding and opens doors.
We are actively seeking a wider range of nationalities - everyone is welcome!
